VHB Tape – Is There a Difference?
In a world full of adhesives, you would never think of using a high-bond, double-sided VHB tape. VHB tape maintains consistency, yet eliminates distracting fasteners like screws and bolts while it quickly and easily creates a long-lasting bond that builds strength over time. VHB tapes allow for instant bonding, stress distribution, shock absorption, and have the flexibility to expand and contract to adjust to extreme temperatures.
When it comes to aesthetics, VHB tapes form an invisible bond that is ideal for a variety of situations. VHB tape can bond exterior panels on high profile buildings, attach panels on trailers and box trucks, bond and seal electronics, and make smooth surfaces on signage. This tape can take the heat as well, resistant in short-term applications up to 450˚F.
Chemical Concepts stocks a variety of these high-bond tapes that save money and increase productivity for your designs with plenty of uses. VHB tape can be used on materials such as aluminum, steel, glass, plastics, and painted or powder-coated surfaces. Today, we are highlighting some of our specific markets that will greatly benefit from using these high bond tapes.
Sign and Display Tapes
For advertisement signs and POP displays, there are several types of tape that can be used. Obviously, a high-bond tape will keep your displays holding strong as if you used a standard liquid adhesive. High-bond tapes are categorized as permanent bonds designed to replace screws, rivets, welding, nails, and liquid adhesives. They are capable of providing a permanent bond to metal, wood, and other composite materials.
For smaller or temporary displays, we also provide double-coated foam tapes and repositionable tapes. These tapes are strong enough to hold on tight while the display is in use, but gentle enough to be removed when the display is taken down with no residue left behind or damage to the display.
