Deform-Nut TC/DM Rivet-Nut Tool

Description

Deform-Nut is a patented threaded insert system that combines mechanical anchoring and structural adhesive to provide strong load-bearing threads in sandwich panel materials (with a honeycomb or composite or composite internal structure).

The Chem-Set Deform Nut Insertion tool is used for the Deform-Nut.

Operating Instructions: 

1. Before using the tool it is necessary to check whether the fitted equipment is suitable to the tubular threaded insert applied.
2. Make sure that, with open levers, the screw comes out of the head of the tool with a minimum length equal to the total length of the insert. This adjustment is obtained by operating on the cover. No other adjustments are required.
3. Insert the threaded rivet to the screw by rotating clockwise the knurled knob placed on the back of the tool.
4. Place the threaded insert into the hole.
5. Tighten the levers to deform the threaded insert.
   1. Warning: the force and fastening level must be tuned by the operator. In order to decrease the stress on the tool, it is important to close completely the levers.
6. Check if the insert is correctly deformed
