Branding the Best: Pacer Technology
We’ve pointed the spotlight at particular products or product lines/series in past blogs but we haven’t yet focused our attention on the brands that separate us, at Chemical Concepts, from the rest of the pack. We take pride in distributing only the best brands; those that have proven effectiveness, marked innovation, and rigorous testing protocols to ensure that their products are following through on their promise. We’ll start our ‘Branding the Best’ blog series today with Pacer Technology, formerly known as Super Glue Corporation. If that name rings a bell, then you can realize the reputation and excellence that Pacer brings to the table.
Pacer offers a host of industrial grade adhesives, and you can likely find a solution in the Pacer inventory of products for virtually any surface or substrate in need of a strong bond or seal. There are two particular areas, however, that you could say Pacer specializes in. They are Cyanoacrylates and Anaerobic adhesives, like Threadlockers and Threadsealers,
Cyanoacrylates
If you’re on the hunt for a structural adhesive that can rapidly bond to surfaces like metal, plastic, ceramic, or wood, Pacer’s Cyanoacrylates are a good choice. Cyanoacrylates, like the MR 3000 from Pacer, own high peel strength and thermal shock resistant properties. The moisture resistant MR 3000 is strongest and most durable on metal substrates like steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Another Pacer favorite is the general purpose E-40 Cyanoacrylate. This low viscosity, fast cure adhesive is used in bonding plastics, rubber, metal and ceramic. The E series of Cyanoacrylates are a family of adhesives that all but cure instantly. Other options in this family of adhesives are the E-5, E-100, E-1500 and E-2500.
Anaerobic threadlockers and threadsealers
Used often for OE assembly and the maintenance and repair of machinery or other equipment, Pacer’s anaerobic threadlocking and threadsealing compounds are unique adhesives. For instance, the ANL-71 High Strength Threadsealer from Pacer is effectively leveraged for the locking/sealing of fasteners of up to 1” in diameter. The ANL-71 is used not only for threadsealing, but also joining and fastening similar metal components. It also has oil and high temperature resistant properties, making it the preferred choice for sealing bolt and nut configurations in extreme conditions.
Another Anaerobic Adhesive (not technically a threadlocker) from Pacer is its Hydraulic Pneumatic Sealant. This is a quickly curing, strong anaerobic adhesive designed to seal against the leakage of hydraulic fluids. The unique characteristic about this completely soluble formula is that it will not clog valves, pumps, or filters, making it favorable alongside sometimes sensitive hydraulic filter and pump equipment. Pacer’s Hydraulic Pneumatic Sealant has good resistance against vibration and harsh chemicals, plus it works well with all metal fittings, forming a formidable seal against the likes of pressure, severe vibration and many other outside forces and challenges.
