The Chemical Concepts H2O Non-Slip Slip-Resistant underwater treads are ideal for use on vinyl, fiberglass, and concrete pools as well as vinyl and fiberglass pool steps to help prevent slipping or injuries in pools. H2O Non-Slip Treads are for underwater use; the non-slip treads bolster safety and provide a non-slip footing in particularly slick areas. With the use of the H2O AquaBonder Glue, you can even apply these underwater; there is no need to even drain your pool!
Our non-slip treads are available as individual treads (glue sold separately) or in a kit that includes all the tools necessary to properly install in your pool!
For gunite pools, H2O Glue Epoxy must be used. See application chart below for more details.

- 23.875″ in length, 2″ wide, 0.065″ thick
- Slip-resistant fiberglass make-up

H2O Glue Non Slip Treads Kit Contents: (all tools needed for installation!)
- (2) Color (Blue, Black, Yellow or White) 23.875″ in length, 2″ wide, 0.065″ thick Non Slip Treads
- (1) H2O Glue 50ml underwater adhesive cartridge
- (4) H2O Glue Mixing Nozzles
- (1) Caulk Gun Adapter for easy dispensing
Installation Process:
- Cut the Non Slip Treads to your desired length using a hack saw or similar tool (32 teeth per inch blades work best). Lightly sand the cut edge.
- Clean the pool surface with a scrub pad to remove any algae or other residue.
- Apply H2O Aquabonder adhesive to the backside of the strip; follow Aquabonder application instructions. Position H2O Non Slip Treads in place. If performed underwater, remove excess adhesive by simply wiping away with a cloth. Otherwise you can remove excess adhesive with alcohol or acetone. For optimal results, place weights like bricks on the non slip treads for 10 minutes or so to ensure a strong hold.
- Remove the weights or bricks and enjoy a much safer pool or spa!
