Reading Time: 3 minutes
Because we carry such a large amount of products related to countertop sealing, installation, protection, and more, many customers contact us for recommendations about the right products to use for countertop maintenance and protection. Our customers’ clients invest in beautiful countertops to help finish off stunning kitchen designs, so protecting these investments and maintaining them over the years is a top priority.
In recent years, quartz has skyrocketed in popularity for countertops in kitchens and bathrooms. But while clients love the look of quartz, they may not be aware that quartz countertops can be very susceptible to aggravating stains.
One product that we frequently recommend to help protect quartz countertops is META CREME from Dry-Treat. Chemical Concepts has recently become a distributor for Dry-Treat products and we’ve been very pleased to hear the positive reviews from our customers as they try these high-quality products.

How Does Dry-Treat META CREME Achieve Maximum Protective Qualities on Countertops?
Achieving optimum stain repellence
META CREME’s specially designed sealing molecules migrate through the pores and find sites to bond by a process of chemical reaction, over 4 to 5 weeks! As more META CREME™ bonds inside the pores, the material becomes more oil and water-repellent. After 24 hours of cure time, the product will show only adequate stain repellency and zero penetration, but after 3 weeks cure time the results will be significantly better.
Achieving maximum depth of penetration
The modified silane molecules in META CREME™ are hundreds of times smaller than the best modern competitor (fluorocarbon /siloxane) sealers, which cannot penetrate into the pores of dense materials, such as polished granites. With 4 hours of dwell time and 4+ weeks of cure time, typical penetration of META CREME™ into Kashmir white granite is 7 to 13 millimeters.
