Product Spotlight – The CounterBalance ADA Vanity Bracket
It’s no mystery that CounterBalance has been creating and distributing innovative solutions for supporting kitchen countertops without the hassle of awkward corbels for some time. Contractors and Stone Fabricators have since enjoyed the easy installation and sturdy yet stylish finish of these low profile support brackets in and around the kitchen, but what about the bathroom vanity, or even the workplace? CounterBalance’s ADA Vanity Bracket fields the call for a clean, modern under-sink space in the bathroom that combines the best in style and strength.
The ADA Vanity Bracket gets its name for its standard-achieving capabilities, meeting requirements set by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for government, public, and commercial accommodations. Its handicap accessibility and sheer convenience (bumping your knees on traditional sink fixtures is a thing of the past) make it a wise choice for installers and remodelers.
The ADA Vanity Bracket, made right here in the United States, comes packaged two per box, a left and right bracket, and has optional mounting holes along the side of each bracket for those contractors planning to install a finishing panel. The Vanity Bracket comes standard with a 3”x3” 45 degree corner cut-out that will shelter most wall cleats and allow for any wire run clearance.
Features:
- 12 Gauge Steel ensures top-notch strength
- Available in black, white, stainless steel, and a primed finish
- Can accommodate 22” to 26” deep countertops
- Mounting holes included on bracket for convenience (optional)
- No tools are needed to remove and reinstall the skirt
- No visible fasteners or hardware
- Spring clips and screws are included for efficient installation
- ADA compliant
The CounterBalance Workstation Bracket
Another non-kitchen area support bracket system from the experts at CounterBalance is the extremely versatile Workstation Bracket. In similar fashion to its counterpart, the ADA Vanity Bracket, this bracket is an affordable choice for supporting floating work areas, literally from the machine shop to the computer desk. Available in nine sizes and seven colors/finishes, it’s likely to have the dimensions and the look you need for your work space, whether it’s a warehouse, garage, or office.
The Workstation Bracket is designed to attach to load-bearing studs and can support an overhang of up to 6” beyond the length of the bracket. Installing the Workstation Bracket is as simple as the following basic steps too:
- Select the appropriate size of bracket for your countertop – the ‘rule of thumb’ is that the overhang should be no more than 6” past the bracket and no less than 3” to reduce visibility
- Locate wall studs
- Mark your drill holes on the wall and set the bracket aside
- Drill 3/16” pilot holes on your marked points – place brackets into position and secure them with ¼” bolts
- Apply a silicone sealant to the top of the bracket to secure the surface to the bracket
